We provide initial teacher training, accredited by North Tyneside SCITT, offering both secondary and primary postgraduate training places.  We are the largest physical education provider in the north east of England and one of the largest in the country. With a history of consecutive “Outstanding” Ofsted judgements, excellence is built into everything we do. WHAT OUR TRAINEES GAIN

In addition to QTS and a PGCE with Masters credits, all trainees gain a range of national governing body awards. Our secondary trainees also gain experience in a second subject. Our primary trainees gain a thorough grounding across all subjects and develop a specialism in physical education. Trainees receive significant support in preparing for employment. Employment rates are exceptional.

Our aim is to create teachers who embody excellence in education. We believe that each child is unique, and that education should allow them to develop to their full potential. Each trainee will be offered the highest quality training and experiences so they can ably support every child’s right to the best possible education.

Trainees will grow in their understanding of how children and young people think and learn and develop as reflective practitioners. By the end of the course, they will be able to take up their first teaching post with confidence. Our partnership brings together expertise in the field of Initial Teacher Education, excellent practice and commitment to professional development from diverse schools across the region.
